I'm going to have a lot more free time.

Well, it finally happened. I had been expecting that it would come to pass sooner or later but it finally happened. I lost my job today. I had worked there for almost 3 years, and always did my job well. I guess I am going to have a lot more free time now to do some art, so if you like my artwork, and you want to help support me while I look for new employment, I will happily do commissions.

I know exactly how you feel, mate. Both jobs I've had both went bankrupt. I worked at a store for 3 years, and then they went bankrupt and so we didn't have jobs, then I got a job after moving to Sydney [thank God I'm back outta there], had that for 3 months, but the project I was part of went downhill, so everyone got made redundant. I'm still looking for work, but man it's hard these days. :huggle:

Tough break Gary. I feel your pain as I'm experiencing this lack of employment in my own household. But this could definitely be the "spring board" for you to get some more art biz. If the Ebay prices on your G6 cards are any indication of the interest people have in your work this could be a blessig in disguise. Best of luck!

Oh I am trying to be positive, and for the most part I am not too upset, as the work enviroment became rather unenjoyable in the past moths. Im sure Ill find something new soon, in the meantime I can sell lots of art like I have been doing! Thanks for the words guys!

That's too bad. I have lost my job a few years ago and like you I always did my work well. Never had any complaints and suddenly...

So I know how you feel. I tried to look at it positively and thought about what I wanted in life. I ended up doing something completely different (went from factory/production work to working at a training stable with horses!).
I'm not trying to sound all philosophical or snobbish but maybe it will help a bit. I know losing your job isn't pleasant
